    At Florca, you’ll work with the full range of ornamental boxwood. Buxus sempervirens is the standard variety, with dense foliage and a deep green color. For specific designs, we also supply variegated cultivars such as Buxus sempervirens 'Aureovariegata' (yellow-spotted) and small-leaved varieties for delicate work.

    Boxwood is primarily used for Christmas wreaths and arrangements, topiary designs, funeral and sympathy arrangements where a subdued, formal greenery is appropriate, and as a base greenery for classic Biedermeier-style arrangements.

    Frequently Asked Questions

    We supply professional customers: wholesalers, (international) florists, event stylists, hospitality buyers, and corporate buyers who wish to import fresh boxwood directly from the Netherlands.

    Boxwood is available year-round, with peak demand in November and December for Christmas arrangements. To prepare for the Christmas rush, we recommend that you place your order by the end of September at the latest.

    We typically stock Buxus sempervirens (dark green) in bundles of 500 grams or 1 kilogram, in lengths ranging from 30 to 60 cm. We also supply variegated cultivars and small-leaved varieties upon request.

    When kept in cool water, boxwood remains decorative for 3 to 4 weeks. In foam-based or dry arrangements, it retains its shape and color for weeks.
